Have you ever fantasized about quitting your job and leaving the country on a one-way ticket? Me too! Except I stopped fantasizing and did it.
I’m Zak Miller. I can play six instruments, I have alot of amazing friends, and I love my job as a video editor. However, on May 14, 2014, I am leaving all of that behind and going to the Isle of Skye in Scotland with a one-way ticket. Everyone I know has told me to document this adventure and share it with the world, so I’m making a travel blog. I hope you enjoy my stories as much as I will.
If any of you are interested in my life before Skye, buckle your seatbelts.
I was born in the mountains of Tennessee and moved to Oklahoma City when I was 10 and changed my name to “Zak.” I went to Putnam City High School then studied Film Production at Oklahoma City University.
In that time I won two talent shows in a row, won First Place at the State Drama Tournament, managed the busiest movie theater in the city, went on tour with my three-man comedy troupe, served tacos, and produced dozens of videos for a local PR office.
Most if not all of those things would not have been possible if it weren’t for my amazing friends and loving family. I have truly lived a beautiful life.
